Deloris Smith

Deloris Mae Smith, age 73, of Danville, passed away at 9:26 am on Monday, September 21, 2009 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born January 31, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Roy R. and Alice M. (Davis) Zorns. Deloris married Calvin Smith on January 15, 1955 in Danville. He survives. She is also survived by her three children: Vickie (James) Hollingsworth of Alliance, Ohio, Calvin (Kimberly) Smith of Georgetown, Kerry (Lisa) Smith of Ridge Farm; one brother: Jim (Beverly) Zorns of Danville; nine grandchildren: Chad, BJ, Matthew, Nathan Hollingsworth of Alliance, Ohio, Jenny Peoples of Alabama, Calvin Smith of Indianola, Brock Smith of Georgetown, Amber Lynn Hudson of Terre Haute, IN, Zachary Lee Hudson of Arizona; three great grandchildren: Austin and Katelyn Peoples of Alabama, Keirstynne Smith of Indianola; and special friends: Arlen and Pam Chambers of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Harley and Charles Zorns. Deloris worked, mostly out of her own home, as a caregiver for thirty-three years. She loved raising all kinds of animals and was very fond of playing cards. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A private family service will be held for Deloris at Vermilion Grove Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home of Danville is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in Deloriss name to Hospice.
