Danville, IL- Deloris Champion, 97, passed away on February 19, 2018 at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on November 30, 1920 in Elgin, IL the daughter of Charles and Edith (Johnson) Cook. Deloris married Clarence Champion and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2018. She is survived by; sons, Ronald (Janice) Lee, Chris (Debbie) Mosher; daughter, Carol (Cloyd) Coon; grandchildren; Todd (Sonna) Lee, Tim (Dawn) Lee, Corey (Fay) Mosher, Regan (Chris) Rudolf, Amanda (Andrew) Healey, great-grandchildren; Katie, Brodie, Logan, Cameron, Parker, Noah, Harper, Kendyl, Hayden, Garrett, Kendred, Taylen and Drew. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert Cook, sister, Clara D. Cook, and granddaughter, Tammy. Deloris worked at Teepak for many years before her retirement. She loved traveling, square dancing, spending time in her flower garden, participating in the cookie walk at church, bakind, sewing and making crafts. She especially loved traveling to Branson, MO. A celebration of Deloris' life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Batestown United Methodist Church 2224 Batestown Rd. Danville, IL 61832 with Pastor Patti Wise officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her name to the American Alzheimer's Association.
