Delores Pilkington

Delores A. Pilkington, 78, of Georgetown passed away at 9:51 a.m. Friday May 15, 2009 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. She was born on June 15, 1930 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Thomas J. and Gladys M. Ireland Powell. Survivors include: one daughter, Kim Mauck of Danville, one son, Gregory Pilkington of Arizona, eight grandchildren, Tommy Harrier, Jason Pilkington, Ryan Pilkington, Shelly Pilkington, Ryan Nale, Kayla Kennedy, and John and Josh Pilkington, eight great grandchildren, and two sisters, Linda (Francis) Wheeler of Georgetown and Sonna K. (Ron) Gross of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Pilkington, one brother Donald, and one sister, Helen. Delores retired from GE after 32 years of service. Delores was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Danville. She enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. She also enjoyed cooking and mushrooming. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family.
