Delores Marie Fratick

Delores Marie Fratick, 79, of Georgetown passed away at 2:20am, Friday, October 13, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana after battling many health issues the past two years. Delores was born on October 31, 1937, the daughter of Andrew "Happy" and Katherine Youhas. She married Charles Fratick Jr. in 1954 who proceeded her in death on May 16, 2009. During their 55-year marriage, they enjoyed traveling together, dining out, and attending festivals along the way. They were best of friends and enjoyed spending time together and with family. Survivors include her son, Charlie Fratick of Georgetown and daughter, Karen Gilbert of Golden, Colorado. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Delores was a seamstress and employed at SteelGrip and Woolenwear and retired from there. Lifelong member of St. Isaac Jogues Church where she was in the choir. Delores was a past Girl Scout Troop Leader and was extremely creative and enjoyed interior design, arts, and antiquing and her great love for her two westies, Emma and Charlie, who were her constant companions. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 20, 2017, St. Isaac Jogues Church, 109 W 7th St Georgetown, IL. Burial will be held at a later date in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the C.A.R.A. in Tilton, a no-kill animal shelter. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, assisted the family with arrangements.
