Delores J. Davis

URBANA - Delores J. Davis, 80, of Urbana passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born April 30, 1935 in Champaign, she was the daughter of Arthur and Viola (Reed) Pizell. She married Ardith W. Davis on June 29, 1952. He preceded her in death. She leaves behind two sisters, Diana Phenicie of Urbana, and Lyn Bowlin of Sadorus; a brother, Raymond Pizell of Monticello; six children, Kathy Walker of Urbana, Ron Davis of Champaign, Bob (Kitty) Davis of Grand Prairie, TX, Jim Davis of Urbana, Vickie Davis of Urbana, and Dave Davis of Tolono; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Pat Cannan and Edith Lettimore; and her husband, Ardith Davis. Delores loved playing BINGO, crochet, making quilts, cross stitch, garage sales and babies. She also enjoyed watching birds. Delores was always making something for friends and family. She was a very crafty person. A graveside service for Delores will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the mausoleum at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil Street in Champaign is handling the arrangements.
