Delna Farmer

Delna Farmer, 87, of Danville passed away on Thursday April 19, 2018. She was born on September 17, 1930 the daughter of George and Mary Beadnel. On February 8, 1947 Delna married the love of her life Obey Farmer and they spent the next 58 years together before his passing in 2005. Delna is survived by her sons, George Ray Farmer, David M. Farmer, Obie A. Farmer; daughters, Glenda Farmer-Kaplan, Felicia Coulter; grandchildren, Andrew Farmer, Natalie Whipple, Julie Fortin, Elizabeth Kaplan, Rebecca Kaplan-Shank, Mark Camps, Obie Farmer Jr., Jessica Buettner, Roger Farmer; great-grandchildren, Madison Fortin, Eleanor Whipple and Emerson Farmer. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Mildred Sampson and brothers, George Beadnel, Grover Beadnel, Dotson Beadnel and Klyndal Beadnel. Delna was a member of the Church of Christ. In her spare time, she could be found sewing or crocheting as well as watching her favorite television show, Jeopardy. Reading was her passion. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm Monday April 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in Danville.
