Delilah R. Watson, 76, of Danville, passed away at 4:00 AM on Sunday November 13, 2011 at North Logan Healthcare Center in Danville. Delilah was born on September 26, 1935 in Danville, the daughter of, Alonzo R. and Delilah O. (Simpson) Swank. She married George Watson on December 21, 1953 in Tilton. George preceded Delilah in death on September 28, 2011. She is survived by two sons- William (Phyllis) Watson and Thomas (Jeannie) Watson both of Danville, one grandson- William D. Watson and his girlfriend Amber McArdle of Danville, one special niece- Pat Van Camp and many more special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother- Frank Swank, three sisters- Betty Snaveley, Elizabeth Pedrigo and Winifred Benson, two great- aunts- AdaBell and Lucille. Delilah attended Danville High and received her GED in 1996-97 from Danville Area Community College. She was the PTA President for many years and managed and retired from Ready Page here in Danville. Delilah loved arts, crafts, music, and her pets. She was a past member of the Ladies Moose Lodge, Danville Rifle and Pistol Club, Rebekahs and the Daughters of the Revolution. A Celebration of Delilah's Life will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Davis officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
