GEORGETOWN- Delbert H. Brown, 95, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:35am on Monday, August 8th, 2005, at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born in Kingman, IN, on January 20th, 1910, to John and Ettle (Sprouls) Brown. Both parents preceded him in death. On November 9th, 1935, Delbert married Elizabeth Tucker in Georgetown. She preceded him in death in 1998. Survivors include: his two daughters, Carolyn (Don) Johnson of Oakwood and Debbie Luster of Georgetown; his four grandchildren, Sandra Maudlin of Bowling Brooke, IL, Linda (Dan) Kadrich of WS, Jenny (Brian) Elmoore stationed in Italy, serving in the Navy, and Joshua Luster, formerly stationed in Germany, serving with the Air Force; one great granddaughter, Mattie Luster-Elmoore; his four step-grandsons, Donald E. Johnson II of Fairmount, Michael K. Johnson of Ogden, Geoffrey Johnson of Ogden, and Ralph Johnson of Fairmount; and his three special friends, Greg, Nick, and Jo Ellen Roberts. His parents, his wife, his two grandsons, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Delbert was a farmer and a carpenter all of his life. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and in his spare time, enjoyed working in his garden, taking long car rides with his wife, Nookie, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. A celebration of Delberts life is scheduled for 10:00am on Friday, August 12th, 2005 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Rev. Don E. Johnson II will be officiating. Final resting place will be in McKendree Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 4-8pm on Thursday, August 11th, 2005 at the funeral home.
