Delbert Everett Morrison

Delbert Everett Morrison, 89, of Danville, passed away at 6:15am, Monday, August 14, 2023, at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana, IL. He was born on November 5, 1933, in Hawbuck, Illinois, the son of Charles F. Morrison and Dorothy M. Miller. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, George Pridemore, both deceased. He was married to Dori Swank on September 1, 1979, until her passing on December 28, 2011. He is survived by his children, Ed (Sally) Morrison, Jeff (Richel) Morrison, Kary (Irene) Morrison, Josh Trussel Morrison, Taylor (Samuel) Morrison-Rothwell, Cathy Villareal, and Debra (Gary) Hillary; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Jane (Keith) McDaniel; and several friends, including his racing and coffee buddies. He worked for Bryant Industries for over 40 years. While there, he held many positions and was known to many as a jack-of-all-trades. He will be missed by those who had the chance to get to know him and become his friend. A celebration of Delberts life will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883 with Craig Roller officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Parrish Cemetery, Grape Creek, IL.
