Debra Sliva

Debra Sliva, 70, of Westville passed away Saturday July 27, 2024, at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville. Debra was born the daughter of Harold and Lucille (Carter) Reid on July 22, 1954. Debra married Jacob Sliva on February 14, 1976, in Danville, Illinois. Jacob preceded Debra in death on May 30, 2020, along with both of her parents.

Debra leaves behind her two children; Angela Sliva of Oakwood, and Shawn Sliva (Christina Elliott) of Westville, grandchildren; Hannah (Daniel) Napoli , Jacob (Taylor) Beitz, Shawn Bubba" (Shelby) Beitz, Jericho Sliva, Jaiden Porter, Raenyn Sliva, Izzy Sliva, and Morrison Sliva, great grandchildren; Haven, Grayson, Samuel, Kolson, Hendricks, Luke, Hayden, and Abigail, one sister Jocille Manhart and three brothers; Dale, Colin and Harold Reid Jr, best friend Kristy Bolser, care giver Debbie Botkin.

Debra enjoyed playing Bingo most every Thursday night. She never missed one of her kids sporting events. She enjoyed knitting and would make special sock monkeys for all the grandkids. Debra also enjoyed traveling, making many trips to Florida. Most of all she loved her family and getting to spend time with them.

Cremation rights will be accorded Debra, and a memorial visitation will be held on Friday August 23, 2024, 10-11 am with a service at 11 am. then burial to follow at Danville National Cemetery with her husband.
