Debra Lee Bina, age 64 of Westville, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 2:10 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born April 8, 1951 in Evergreen Park, the daughter of Harold and Williadean (Felkins) Fox. She married Terry Lee Bina on October 10, 1981 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2013. Surviving are her son, Eric (Kaylen Hoskins) Bina of Westville; grandchildren, Quentin Bradlee, Ethan James Lee, and Preslee Joann Kendall Bina; brother Kevin (Tamara) Fox of Lake Tomahawk, WI and Kelly (Stacy) Fox of New Lenox, IL; nieces and nephews, Alex and Amber Fox, Luke Paxton, Dylan and Jace Bina, and Alexandra and Owen Sleva; sisters-in-law, Cathy (Steve) Paxton of Georgetown, Tracy (John) Sleva of St. Cloud, MN, and Jenifer Bina of Georgetown; as well as many other relatives, students, and so many friends that will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, brother, Harold Lee, Jr., and her favorite dog, Maggie. Debbie was a special education teacher earning her Master's degree from Eastern Illinois University. She was an educator at St. Mary's Catholic School then at Mary Miller Junior High School retiring after almost 40 years of teaching. Debbie played an important role in so many students' lives. She also belong to Beta Sigma Phi. Debbie enjoyed being in the kitchen, cooking or canning, for all to enjoy. She also liked to spend time shopping. Debbie was a provider and caregiver by nature and always made sure everyone was taken care of. She would go out of her way to made sure they had what was needed. Most of all Debbie enjoyed spending time with her son and grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. A celebration of Debbie's life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the funeral home.
