Debra Haurez

Debra Lynn Haurez, 53, of Covington, passed away at 12:50 a.m. EST, Sunday April 22, 2007 at her home after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Debra was born May 14, 1953 the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Thompson Bartenschlag in Akron, Ohio. She married Henry Butch Haurez May 26,1973. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2003. Debra is survived by her father Robert (Pat) Bartenschlag of Berea, Kentucky; Step children Timothy (Dena) Haurez and Wendy (Shannon) Biggs both of Lewisberg, Tennessee and Randy (Beth) Haurez of Westville, Illinois; a brother Mark (Amy) Bartenschlag of Danville, Illinois; a niece Stacy Bartenschlag of Lafayette, Indiana and a nephew Michael Bartenschlag of Danville, Illinois; step grandchildren Hunter and Hailee Haurez, Joshua, Justin and Hannah Singelton all of Lewisberg, Tennessee and Landen Haurez of Westville, Illinois. Also surviving is Ray Engel, her long time friend and then life partner that cared for Debra through her entire illness. Debra was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Zimmer, paternal and maternal grandparents. Services and burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center.
