Debra Borgwald

Danville - Debra Borgwald, 57, of Danville passed away at 10:59 pm on Sunday June 25, 2017 at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston, IL. Debra was born on July 30, 1959 the daughter of Charles "Bud" D. and A. Rosalie "Rose" (Lyons) Landers in Decatur, IL. She married Gary Borgwald on August 26, 1995 in Danville, IL and he survives. Survivors include her husband, Gary of Danville, two sons, Derek Davis and Garrett Borgwald both of Danville, IL, three sisters, Tammy (Greg) Lund, Rhonda (Rhett) Butler and Shelly (Brandon) Rangel all of Danville, IL, one brother, Bud Landers of Danville, IL, special sister-in-law, Susie Landers, nieces and nephews, Katty, Danny, Steven, Kivanc, Kelsee, Nikki, Nathan, Monique, Kayla and Eddie, great nieces and nephews, Gage, Devin, Sophie, Gavin, Trenton, Cameron, Averi, Kamden and Aiden as well as extended family including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends. Debra is preceded in death by her father, "Bud", Mother "Rose" her first husband, Kent Davis, brother-in-law, Tim O'Blenis as well as aunts and uncles. Debra loved going to the boat, gambling and playing poker machines, camping, The Cubs, Da Bears, having cookouts in the yard and sitting in the sun. She loved being with her family and friends boating on the lake and was eager to volunteer, whatever the cause, particularly involving her "Bismarck Kids". She was involved with the Rotary Club, Executive Club and the Bismarck Boosters Club. She enjoyed playing softball and golf, especially the family golf outing, the family Thanksgiving bowling at Bulan's (men vs women), and playing Bunko. Most of all she loved being with Gary, watching the boys play sports and ringing her cow bell. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Drew Mentzer will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Bismarck Booster Club.
