Deborah Urban

Deborah Faye Urban, 63, of Urbana passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Born March 8, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of William J. and Vivian (Bess) Urban. She attended Holy Family Catholic School in Cahokia, Illinois, and graduated from Belleville West High School. Deb worked for a lot of various local businesses over the years. She was known her for hearty laugh and warm heart. Deb was strong willed, spoke her own mind, and she was devoted to pets of all kinds. She was interested in gardening, the outdoors, cooking exotic foods, sewing her own clothes, and wearing jewelry to enhance her dresses. Deb will be missed by many relatives and friends who loved her. She is survived by her loving companion and friend, Cliff Scherpe of Urbana; her mother, Vivian Urban of Belleville, IL; one sister, Linda (Frank) Kulisky of Seminole, FL; four brothers, Joseph J. (Kim) Urban of LaGrange, CA, Gary (Melody) Urban of Lakewood, WA, Harry (Clara) Urban of Waynesville, OH and William J. (Rhonda) Urban Jr. of Belleville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father William J. Urban. There will be no service for Deborah at this time. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in her name to assist with funeral expenses.
