Deborah 'Debbie' Kay Wonderlich

Deborah "Debbie" Kay Wonderlich, 59, of Mahomet passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August 19, 1963, the daughter of Jan and Ann {West} Grochowski. On July 12, 1986, Debbie married the love of her life, Michael Wonderlich, in Wamego, KS, he survives.

Debbie is also survived by her children, Samantha (Chris) Cornell, Sean (Ashley) Wonderlich; grandchildren, Jayden and Jacquelynn Wonderlich, and siblings, Vickey Grochowski and Jim Smith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jan Grochowski, mother, Ann Smith, and stepfather, Robert Smith.

Debbie was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grammie. She loved Winnie the Pooh and enjoyed reading, crafting, and traveling. Debbie was fiercely loyal to her family and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center Mahomet Chapel, 1102 Churchill Rd. in Mahomet, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11am at Sunsets Mahomet Chapel with pastor Hank Sanford officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan, KS.

Memorial donations may be made in Debbies honor to the American Cancer Society.
