Deane E. Starr

Deane E. Starr 93 of Danville passed away at 7:30 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2007 at Danville Care. She was born June 22, 1914 in Bismarck the daughter of Robert F. and Gertrude Curry Wilson. Deane married Herman A. Star on June 22, 1932 in Bismarck, he preceded her in 2003, and they had been married for 60 years. Surviving is: a sister Josephine Swan of Bismarck, a brother in-law Norman Lucas of Danville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Dennis, Glenn, Francis and Robert Wilson, three sisters: Thelma Spangler, Lois Huss and Reva Lucas. She and her husband Herman had farmed in the Alvin area for most of their lives. Deane was a member of First Baptist church in Danville and also taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery. She was a former member of the Henning Womans club. Deane loved flowers especially roses, she loved to cook and work crossword puzzles. She was devoted to her immediate family, husband and church, she will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. A celebration of life funeral service for Deane E. Starr will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 6, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home& Cremation Center. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry Cummins. Place of Rest will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials may be given to: First Baptist Christian School Teachers Endowment Fund..
