On Monday August 6th at 12:52 a.m. Harold Dean Noble, age 77 has gone fishing for eternity. Dean was carried off to join his Savior for eternal fishing on the Jordan River flowing into the crystal sea. Dean was born to Jessie Pearl (Cruea) and David Ross Noble on December 29, 1934. On November 3, 1962 he married the love of his life, Charlotte L. York who survives him. They have five children Clarence "Gene" Noble (Deceased), Linda "Kay" Worden (Richard) and Deana Noble of Covington, David Noble (Denise) of Granite City, IL, and Beth Ann Glover (Dan) of Toccoa, GA. He has fourteen grandchildren David (Kimberly) Noble, Angel (Rodney) Wilmoth, Shannon (Ed) Miley, Richie (Candy), Nathan, Andy and Alayna Worden, Joe, Mathew and Jillian Glover, and Alexis and Natasha Noble. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patty (Glen) Reynolds of West Lebanon, and Betty (Leo) Bergeron and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Preceding him in death was his grandson Joshua Noble. He has thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way and 1 great great-grandchild. Dean served in the Navy from 1954 to 1961 as power plant operator in the engine room aboard submarines. He was employed at Olin's and Flexel for 40 years. He followed in the family passion of the hunting, trapping and fishing on and around the Wabash River. He also loved to mushroom and sassafras hunts all which he passed on to his children and several of his grandchildren. He was a respected member of the community and loved by many. He was a great dad who participated in many neighborhood snowball and water fights that every kid in the area joined in on. Often ambushed as he came home from a long day at work. He was the spiritual leader of his family praying each night for each family member with friends special needs too. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, August 9 at the Covington Assembly of God. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Pastors David Noble and Robert Fairchild will be officiating. There will be no burial per Dean's request to be cremated. Sunset Funeral homes are in charge of arrangements.
