Dawn 'Cammie' Chezem

Danville Dawn "Cammie" Chezem, 61, of Danville passed away at 12:45 AM on December 8, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Dawn was born on July 1, 1960 the daughter of Patricia Furman in Danville, IL.

Survivors include her children, Lee Hurt of Danville, IL, Jessica (Walter) Boys of Danville, IL and Andrea Chezem of Danville, IL, her mother, Patricia Furman of Westville, IL, her sister, Marla Mackiewicz of Westville, IL, two nieces, many beloved grandchildren as well as a host of other extended family members.

Dawn is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucille Brown, one daughter, Alicia Michelle, her stepfather, Forrest Furman, her uncle, Dale Brown, and one brother-in-law, Allan Mackiewicz.

Dawn was an Auditor for the Circle K convenience stations in the Danville area for many years. She enjoyed spending her free time volunteering at animal shelters, reading, cooking, and watching movies but her passion was her family. She was truly devoted to spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any local Animal Shelter or Rescue.
