David M. Welch

David M. Welch, born August 15, 1964, passed away on September 24, 2026.

David was the son of David E. Welch and the late Judith Welch. He is survived by his father, David E. Welch; his sister, Deanna G. Pleasant; his niece, Courtney; his nephew, Darrion; and one son.

David graduated in 1982 from Villa Grove High School and graduated from Belleville Area College in 1988 with a degree in medical coding. He was an avid University of Illinois and St. Louis Cardinal Fan.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vince and Mildred Welch, his mother, Judith Welch, and his sister, Janet Welch.

He will be remembered by his family and those who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign, IL. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s Champaign Chapel, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820, is honored to be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
