David Warren, affectionately known as "Dave," passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 22, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on May 15, 1953, in Danville, Illinois, Dave lived a life filled with laughter, dedication, and a zeal for helping others.
Dave's professional journey spanned many years, during which he worked diligently as a supervisor in the manufacturing sector. His commitment to service extended beyond his career, most recently reflected in his role as a driver for the Community Action Program Van, where he took pride in lending a hand to those in need.
A proud veteran, Dave served in the United States Air Force, where he exited as a SSGT from the Airforce. Embodying the values of duty and honor. His educational journey continued after his high school diploma from North Vermillion in 1971, which set the stage for a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and skill. He worked on furthering his education during his service to his country. He was a Weapons Mechanic in the Air Force and attended Mino State College taking classes on Criminal Law. Dave was Master Automotive Mechanic and received a Certificate from Anchor Hocking Management System to be a Supervisor.
A man of many interests, Dave was known for his love of woodworking, his enthusiasm for sports, particularly his unwavering support for the Philadelphia Eagles football team, and his fondness for watching races. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, often enjoying a great cup of coffee or spending leisurely hours playing cards with friends and family. Those who knew him found joy in his company; he had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and light into any situation.
Dave is survived by his special friend, Kittimai "Retjapoh" (Warren) Henderson, and his loving siblings: Cathy "Warren" (Michael) Crowder, Debra "Warren" (William) Brayton, Janice "Warren" Gilmore, and Jeffery Warren. He will be deeply missed by his eleven nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know his kindness and warmth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Warren and Alma "Hawn" Warren, and his brother-in-law Ronald Gilmore. David's hard work and dedication to his family and community will leave an indelible mark on the lives he touched. His legacy will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him.
