David Vallet

David Arthur Vallet, age 97, of Danville, passed away at 1:37 pm on Monday, February 2, 2009 at his home. He was born December 2, 1911 in Hillery, IL the son of Forenct and Rosana Vallet. He is survived by two nieces: Rosann Goodwin of Westville, Leona Schnelle of Wilmettee, IL; one nephew: Lawrence Mariage of Danville; and other nephews and nieces from out of state. David was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his very dear friend Ruth Weegar, who he lived with the past few years. David retired from United Coal Mine. He also built houses in the Hillery area. David loved collecting antiques and going to garage sales. He attended Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God until his illness would not allow him to attend. A celebration of the life of David Vallet will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am at the chapel.
