Danville - David Pollock, 51, of Danville, passed away on March 29, 2014. He was born August 8, 1962 in Danville, IL the son of Edward Pollock and Marjorie Murphy. He is survived by his parents, Marjorie and Thomas Murphy; his sister, Dana (Danny) Myers; his brother, Steven Murphy; his nieces Ashley (Anthony) Warren, McKenna Murphy, and Karli Murphy; his nephew, Joshua Pollock; his great-niece, Kyrie Bolling; his great-nephew, James Warren; his aunts, Nancy (Robert) Weidenburner and Helen Brown; his uncles, David (Sandi) Hewson and Harold Pollock; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pollock; his beloved grandfather and grandmother Hewson; and several aunts and uncles. David loved being outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He graduated from Hope Christian High School in 1980. David was also a long time member of the Boy Scouts, he was associated with the Order of the Arrow; where he became an Eagle Scout. David also had a passion for helping people. He worked as a maintenance man in Devonshire for 7 years, where he was known for his kind nature. He was also involved with Habitat for Humanity. David loved animals especially his dogs, of which he had many. David loved the Lord and looked for opportunities to talk to people about him; he was also a member of The Rock Church. David was always known to make people smile and laugh. Above all else, David loved his family and he will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. A memorial service celebrating Davids life will be held at 10am on Saturday April 5, 2014 at The Rock Church in Danville. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Davids name to The Rock Church.
