David M Martin

David M. Martin 63, of Westville, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Saturday January 28, 2012 at his home. David was born on February 25, 1948 in Danville, the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Wright Martin. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Williams on June 29, 1974 in Danville, she will miss him dearly. She will also be missed by: a daughter Kym (James) Brown of Danville; two step-daughters, Monica (Kenneth) Woolwine and Diana (John) Carron both of Covington, IN; his brother, Don (Ruth) Martin of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Peggy Grigsby of Danville; her eight grandchildren; and a special friend, Jack (Joan) Moore of Prescott, AZ. Two brothers, Richard and Ralph Martin, preceded him in death. David was a Mechanic most of his life. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. David was a lifetime member of the D.A.V post #8 in Champaign, also a member of the Westville American Legion post #51. David passion was working and tinkering with cars. A celebration of life funeral service for David M. Martin will be 1:00pm Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel of Westville. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Visitation for family and friends will be 11:00 am till the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. David has the honor of being buried in the Danville National Cemetery in Danville.
