David Lee Halls, 50, of Danville, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, September 03, 2008 at home. David was born on September 12, 1957 in Danville, the son of Wilson D. and Martha (Sandefer) Halls. He married Judy OToole on August 9, 2001 in Danville. She survives. He is also survived by his father- Wilson D. Halls of Danville; mother- Martha Hall of Danville; three sons- Douglas (Lisa) Halls, Christopher Halls and Thomas Halls all of Danville; five step-children; one brother- Mike Halls of Danville; one step-sister- Judy (Danny) Hudson of Danville; three grandchildren- Cody Rahm, Douglas Hall Jr. and Judy Halls all of Danville; one special cousin- Sue Merrill of Danville; and several step grandchildren, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. David was preceded in death by his step-father- Mel Hall and two step-brothers- Steve and Dick Hall. David graduated from Danville High School in 1975. He worked as a mechanic for several years, most recently at Napa in Westville. He loved playing pool and played in pool tournaments in Las Vegas. He was an avid Cubs, Bears and Illini fan. David was also a very good cook. He loved to spend time with his boys and would always take them to the movies every Sunday. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at Georgetown Cemetery, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
