Danville- David L. Redenbaugh, Sr., 55, of Danville passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at his home. He was born on October 1, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Lewis A. and Hazel J. Kilbury Redenbaugh. He is survived by his long-time companion of 31 years and soul mate, Tina Jordan. Also surviving is a son, David L. Redenbaugh, Jr. of Danville; three daughters, Kelley Redenbaugh, Jennifer Jordan, and Christina Redenbaugh, all of Danville; two brothers, Mark (Darlene) Redenbaugh and James Kilbury, both of Danville; two sisters, Janice Redenbaugh of Danville and Kathy (Jim) Doolin of Covington, IN; grandchildren, Kaleb Redenbaugh, Kaylin Haner, McKenzie Bays, Donald Ray Haner IV, Kierra Bays, Aden Jackson, and Natalie Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, a sister, Teresa Brown, grandson Jacob Lewis, and a niece, Shelley. David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He had worked as a truck driver, but primarily was a stained glass artist. David loved playing the guitar and listening to music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching his favorite driver in NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt. Most of all, David loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. A service to celebrate the life of David Redenbaugh will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Art Tabels will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2-3 PM prior to the service on Tuesday, also at Sunset in Danville. Cremation rites with graveside committal and military honors will be held at Danville National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to David's family.
