David L. Kerst, 62, of Danville passed away at 10:21am on Wednesday July 16, 2008 at Provena USMC. David was born July 23, 1945 in Danville the son of Robert Lewis and Mary Inez Silberer Kerst. He was the loving son of Mary Kerst .Dear brother of Robert E. (Janice) Kerst, Ronald Kerst, Shirley (Rick) Davis and Brenda (Alice Marion) Kerst; dear uncle of several nieces and nephews and dearest great uncle of Alize, Jeffery, Ethan, Audrey and Johnny who will greatly miss him. Former brother-in-law of Yolanda Kerst and best friend of Diane and Cecil Jones and their children. His father preceded him in death. David enjoyed building models, listening to the Gaithers and frequenting the Pink House Village Garden restaurant on Gilbert Street. He was a veteran of the US Navy and an avid NASCAR fan. A celebration of Davids life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday July 22, at First Assembly of God Church, 428 N... Walnut Street, Danville. Rev. David Rumley will officiate.
