David K. Youmans

Newport, Ind. - David K. Youmans, 72, of Newport, passed away at 3:07 p.m. EDT Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. He was born June 19, 1943 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Keith G. and Virginia R. (Wyckoff) Youmans. Survivors include one daughter, Allyson Victoria Youmans of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one son, Edward Youmans of Newport, Indiana and two brothers, K. Barton Youmans of Terre Haute, Indiana and Richard G. (Katherine) Youmans of Mooresville, Indiana. David enjoyed creative writing, hiking, sight seeing and visiting the nearby state parks. Memorial service: Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. EDT at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Visitation: one hour prior to services on Saturday.
