David H Blight

David H. Blight, 62, of Champaign, passed away at 8:49 am on Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1953 in Sycamore Illinois, the son of Donald and Ann Birkland Blight. He married Sandy Brown on June 27, 1975 in Bloomington, Illinois. She survives. Also surviving are his two daughters, Nikki Blight of Champaign and Kerri (Troy) Burton of Bridgeton, MO.; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Burton; one brother, Thomas (Brenda) Blight of Florissant, MO.; sister-in-law, Carol Blight of Tucson, Arizona; 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Blight. Dave worked as an Electronic Technician for most all of his working career, most recently for Horizon Hobby in Champaign. He enjoyed garage sales, water skiing and boating with his family and friends, and could repair almost anything that was thrown his way. As per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date.
