David E Cravens

David E. "The Wild Child" Cravens, 77, of Westville, passed away at 4:35pm, Sunday, January 4, 2015, at his home. He was born on January 30, 1937, in Danville, the son of Oliver and Marian {Hollister} Cravens. He was united in marriage to Linda Nagrodski on October 8, 1958 in Ringgold, Georgia. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his son, Gary Scott Cravens; a daughter in-law Lorianne Cravens; two grandchildren, Sara and Brandi; his two sisters, Faye Crawford and Nancy Andrews; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Dave was a truck driver before retiring. He loved to garden and spend time with his dogs. Dave liked to visit all his friends and talk about trucking and happenings; which he never ran out of stories to share. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Holycross family for all the help along the way. A celebration of Davids life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2014, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to his service on Thursday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sandusky Cemetery, Westville.
