David "Dave" Eric Tellschow

David (Dave) Eric Tellschow, 63, of Mahomet, IL passed away suddenly on September 18, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1960, in Woodstock, IL, the son of Robert and Elaine {Wischoffer} Tellschow, they survive.

David is also survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dianne {Kessler} Tellschow, daughter Kaitlyn (Jacob) Lessen, son Dustin (Taylor) Tellschow, grandchildren Claire and Owen Lessen and Bennett Tellschow, brothers Steve (Larry Nixdorf) Tellschow and Tom (Donna) Tellschow, 2 nieces and 6 nephews, brothers-in-law Kevin Kessler & Paul (Cindy) Kessler and Mother-in-law Betty Kessler. He was preceded in death by Father-in-law, Thomas Kessler.

David worked as an Agricultural Technician for 39 years, 35 years at Arends & Sons in Gibson City, IL and 4 years with AHW in Urbana, IL. His love for John Deere was so strong his family says he bled green. David enjoyed collecting model farm equipment and making farm dioramas. He also loved traveling with his wife Dianne to such places as Hawaii, the National Parks in Utah and most recently Alaska.

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, David will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Sunset’s Mahomet Chapel is assisting the family with private services. A public Celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
