Darylynne 'Lynne' Goodman

DaryLynne "Lynne" Goodman, age 62 of Urbana, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 11:06 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born February 3, 1953 in Blue Island, IL, the daughter of Donald and Norma Lee (Hancock) Tipps. Lynne will be dearly missed by her children, Brian Hefley of Champaign, Christopher "Chris" Leon Goodman of St. Joseph, and Shawn Michael Goodman of Urbana; grandchildren, Gavin Mitchell Hefley, Jayden Allen Goodman, and Grayson Michael Goodman; close friends, Cindy, Debbie, Viki, Elsie, Susie, and many other close friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Tipps. Lynne worked as a manager at Dollar General and had a home daycare for many years. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in St. Joseph. Lynne had a strong bond with her horses, KT, Molly, Princess Jasmine, and Lady Iris. She also loved to roller skate and dance. If there was a dance floor around Lynne was on it. She had a lively spirit that will be missed by all she knew. A celebration of Lynne's life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center Champaign- Urbana Chapel, 710 N. Neil, Champaign on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM. Pastor Jud Travis will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-4 PM at the funeral home. Following services Lynne will be cremated and she will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Champaign at a later date. Memorials can be made in her name to her family to help with final expenses.
