RIDGE FARM - Darren L. Hammer, 24, of Ridge Farm, died at 4:02am, Friday, June 8th, 2007, in Georgetown. He was born on January 5th, 1983, in Danville, IL, the son of Michael Hammer and Sharon Vice. Those who will miss him include: his father, Mike Hammer of Georgetown; his mother, Sharon Vice of Ridge Farm; his brothers, James M (Tabby) Hammer of Danville & Tony (Tara) Martin of Danville; his sisters, Carrie (Adam) Crook of Dewitt, IL, Amanda (Bryce) Werhan of Centralia, MO, Crystal (Tony Sr.) Lee of Ridge Farm, & Nicole (Jason) Vickery of Savannah, GA; his sister, Brooke Robins; his brother Jacob Robins, both of Georgetown; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Vice; his several nieces & nephews; and several aunts & uncles, along with many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents & maternal grandfather. Darren enjoyed many things including, working on his car, NASCAR racing of which he was a big fan of #3. He also liked to go fishing and hanging out with his friends. He loved his nephews & nieces very much. He will be sadly missed. A funeral service for Darren will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 13th, 2007, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. A visitation will be held 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, June 12th, 2007, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm.
