Darrell 'Snoopy' Sigler

Darrell Snoopy A. Sigler, 69, of Decatur, Alabama, formerly of Danville, IL, passed away at 8:08pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Decatur, AL. Darrell was born on December 6, 1944, to Dallas and Ella Sigler in Danville, IL. He and his wife, Mary Lou, lived in Danville until moving to Hartselle, AL, in 2009. He was married to Mary Lou Turpin on August 28, 1982, and she survives. Also surviving are: two sons, Dale of Texas and Kenneth of California; a step-daughter, Debbie (Jim) Blankenship of Decatur, AL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; five brothers; two sisters; one step son; one step daughter; and two granddaughters. He was employed at Peterson Puritan for 17 years. His hobbies were dirt racing, three-wheel and motorcycle riding, building and working on trikes and cars and wood working. He also had a passion for riding and training horses in his younger years and continued to enjoy rodeos. A celebration of Darrells (Snoopy) will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Westville, IL.
