Darrell Loren Dugan

Mahomet Darrell Loren Dugan, 77, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his home in Mahomet, IL from ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease). He was born on November 15, 1941 in Decatur, IL to Donald and Dorothy (Ford) Dugan. Darrell married Mary Margaret Withers on March 7, 1970 in Crown Point, IN.

Darrell is survived by his wife; children Angela Creel, Darrell (Lorraine) Dugan Jr., Michelle (Craig) Robnik, Mindy (John) Spencer, and Meghann (Mike) Barloewen; grandchildren Eric, Ashley, Conner, Garrett, Hannah, Emily, Jazmyn, Natalie, Jacob, Johnathon, Abby, and Dominic; great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Zach, and Casen; siblings Doug, Sandra, and Mary Beth; and many nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents.

Darrell loved to travel, and road trips were his favorite. He enjoyed hiking, reading, gardening, and musical theater. He was an early adopter of new technologies and he supported numerous charities. He also served as a volunteer tax preparer, an opportunity he found impactful and rewarding.

A memorial celebration of Darrells life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 12pm-4pm at Allerton Park in the Allerton Mansion in Monticello, IL.
