Darlene Marie Johnson

Cayuga, Ind. -- Darlene Marie Johnson, 66, of Cayuga, passed away at 5:50 p.m. EST Monday, January 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1944 in Bagley, Minnesota, the daughter of Floyd and Florence Ringstad Berg. She married Larry Johnson in November 22, 1987 in Monroe, Michigan. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2007. Survivors include one daughter, April(Mark)Doeppers of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons, Dwight(Marilyn)Vigoren of LaPine, Oregon and Shawn(Lorie)Vigoren of Rainier, Oregon; her mother, Florence Berg of Rainier, Oregon; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Carol Johnston of Rainier, Oregon and one brother, Richard Berg of South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Berg and one son, John David Vigoren. Darlene attended Gonvick High School in Gonvick, Minnesota. She was a former member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges in Monroe, Michigan. She enjoyed reading and NASCAR, especially watching her favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson. Most of all, Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family. There will be no services. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Rainier, Oregon. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
