WESTVILLE - Darlene J. Jones, 70, of Westville, died peacefully with her daughter and her friend, Shirley, at her bedside at 2:44pm, Monday, January 7th, 2008, at Provena USMC, Danville, IL. She was born on May 15th, 1937, in Westville the daughter of George and Dolly (Acord) Giuliani, both deceased. She first married Robert Urban on December 28th, 1955, and then later married William Chuck Jones on November 29th, 1974. He preceded her in death in 2006. Those who will miss her include: her daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Bennett of Westville; her son, Michael Urban of Nashville, TN; her granddaughter, Amanda Urban of Louisville, KY; her brother, Jim (Marna) Giuliani of Westville; and her nephew, Cameron (Tawnya) Giuliani of Westville. She is also survived by: her step-daughter, Lynn (Mike) Megee of Virginia Beach, VA; her three step-grandsons, Ben Jones, Steve Jones, & Matthew Paul Megee; and many step nieces and nephews, including Rick (Dorrie) Jones. Her step-son, John Jones, preceded her in death. Darlene worked for 26 years at the Vermilion County Courthouse and retired in 1996. She was a Chief Steward of I.B.E.W. Local #3. She was involved with the Mothers Club of St. Marys School of Westville and also a Girl Scout Leader. Darlene frequently spoke of her early involvement with the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser with St. Marys School. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers who became her dear friends; Sandy, Betty, Shirley, Joyce, Jenny, & Margaret. A celebration of Darlenes life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 11th, 2008, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. Officiating will be Pastor Scott McCurdy. Visitation will be 3pm to 7pm, Thursday, January 10th, 2008, at the funeral chapel. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Heart Association, 208 S LaSalle, Ste 900, Chicago, IL 60604-1197.
