Darla Krout

Darla S. Krout, 47, of Danville passed away at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday (January 30, 2010) at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born February 11, 1962 in Watseka, IL. She was the daughter of Brechter and Viola Claypool Henke. Darla married Kevin Krout on Aug. 8, 1987 in Milford, IL. He survives. She is also survived by her two children Melanie and Stephen Krout; her brothers and sister: Debbie (Mike) Goodman of Danville, Dan (Cathy) Henke of Ravenna, TX, and Doug Henke of Hoopeston; a special aunt: Sharon (Clarence) Drennan of Alvin;her mother-in-law: Fontella Krout of Danville; and several aunts, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and Father-in-law. Darla graduated from Milford High School in May of 1980. She graduated from DACC with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences and was a member of the DACC womens basketball team where she was named the 1982 teams Most Valuable Player. Darla worked in the human resources department for twenty seven years at the VA Illiana Health Care System. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. Melanie and Stephen were Darlas life. Being an avid sports fan she spent most of her free time doing what she loved the most, watching her kids sporting events and school activities. Even when she wasnt feeling the best she always had a smile on her face when she was watching her children. Darla also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. A Celebration of the Life of Darla Krout will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Sunsets Tribute Center (Formerly the Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Chapel) 3550 N. Vermilion St. Danville with Miles Clark officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Tribute Center.
