Darla D. Perisho

DECATUR - Darla D. (Wyer) Perisho, 69, of Decatur, passed away at 3:08am, Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 13th, 1938, in Georgetown, IL, the daughter of Orville D. and Alice Scratch (Bryant) Wyer, both deceased. Those who will miss her include: her daughters, Andrea (Shawn) Bauerle of Mt. Zion, IL, and Stephanie (Danny Patterson) Perisho of Decatur; her grandchildren, Dalen & Nathan Bauerle of Mt. Zion, IL, and Danny Jr. & Kenzie Patterson of Decatur; her brother, Allan (Glenda) Wyer of Nashville, TN; her sisters, Rhea (Harrell) Brooks of Olivet, IL, and Sheila (Wes) Grunden of Decatur; as well as, five nephews, three nieces, eight great nephews, five great nieces, & one great-great niece. Her son, Jon Erick Perisho, preceded her in death. Darla worked as a Social Service Coordinator for McKinley Court Nursing Home in Decatur. She enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles. She also enjoyed reading her Bible. Darla especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Perdekamp and the Staff of Decatur Memorial Hospital, the Intensive Care Unit, and 5100; and an extra special thanks to McKinley Court Nursing Home Staff who treated Darla just like their own mother. A celebration of Darlas life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, February 8th, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. Pastor James Blue will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown, IL. Memorial donations may be given in Darlas name to the American Cancer Society.
