Danny Joe Davis

Danny Joe Davis 57 of Danville passed away at 5:15 A.M. Friday September 22, 2006 at Illiana Health Care System. He was born August 15, 1949 in Danville the son of Authur and Virginia Conner Davis. He married Linda Woods in 1968; they divorced and later married Sara Brannin in 1982. Surviving is his mother Virginia Davis of Danville, one daughter; Heather Davis of Danville, two brothers; Randy A. Davis of Danville, Terry L. Davis of Houston, TX, two sisters; Janet (Dennis) Lucas of Georgetown, Cindy Whitlock of Ridge Farm. He was preceded in death by his father Authur and one son Shane. Danny had worked for Bill Smith Auto Parts and recently worked for Grubb Heating & Air. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war. Danny enjoyed NASCAR racing, the Chicago Bears, watching TV and his dogs and cats. A celebration of life graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 26, 2006 at Danville National Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Cox. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the graveside service at the Protestant Chapel located at 1900 East Main St in Danville.
