Danny A. Stevens

Danny A. Stevens, 64, of Covington, IN passed away on March 16, 2019 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.

He was born in Danville, IL on July 24, 1954 the son of Vanna (Dee) Stevens. He married Charlotte Hall on July 7, 1973 and she survives.

Danny will be deeply missed by his wife, Charlotte, children, Danny (Carly) Stevens Jr. of Mooresville, IN and Lindsey Stevens of Covington, brother, Bill (Rosemary) Stevens of Pendleton, IN, sister, Sheri (Larry) Hilge of Covington and grandchildren; Farrah Adelle, Fionna Mae and Feebey Ann.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vanna Stevens and one brother, David Stevens.

Danny graduated from Danville High School then went on to get his associates degree in business from DACC. He started his own lawncare business in 1998 with just 13 customers and over 20 years successfully turned it into over 100. He loved riding motorcycles and had his own Harley-Davidson trike. Danny enjoyed going to auctions, deer hunting, country music, Illini sports and the Chicago Cubs. He loved his grandchildren dearly and he and Charlotte were members of Second Church of Christ in Danville.

A celebration of life memorial service for Danny will be held at 6:30 PM EST Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington 420 3rd St. Covington, IN 47932 with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:30 PM EST prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in his name to the CLL Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
