Danielle (Stennett) Miller, 44, of Mattoon, IL, passed away on May 22nd, 2018 at Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL. due to complications of Ovarian Cancer. For ten months Danielle fought her disease with bravery, and even a sense of humor despite the pain she endured. She was thankful for every single nurse, doctor and staff member that cared for her. She departed from this world holding the hand of her best friend and life-partner of twelve years, Jessica Marie Youhas, of Mattoon, IL. She will be greatly missed by her in-laws Michael and Jane Youhas of Mattoon IL and her sister in-law, Kelly Youhas of Knoxville, TN. Danielle was a graduate from Tuscola H.S. where she enjoyed being on the dance team and acting in plays. Danielle had one son, Kirby W. Stennett, 25, of Tuscola, IL. to whom she was very proud of. Danielle was born on September 14th, 1973 in Decatur, Il to parents, Danny and Linda Stennett of Findlay Il. who are still living. Danielle's sister Denise (Max) Shulte and nephew Curtis live in Ashton Il. and her older brother, Danny Jr. reside in Carlyle, IL. Danielle proceeds in death by both grandparents. She will be greatly missed by her charming and generous friend Chaz Reynolds of Champaign and his family as well as her best friend Becky Johnson of Memphis TN. She also had some very special clients who were also considered friends. Danielle was one of the most talented hair stylists that ever lived and opened her own salon the, Neon Kerat, located in the Church Street Square building in downtown Champaign. Danielle was witty, creative, loved gardening, and making jewelry. She loved animals, campfires and looking out at the moon through her telescope at night. She had a passion for painting and had several showings of her abstract works in various locations over the years. People who knew Danielle, loved how special she made them feel. She had a certain "spark," like a beautiful firework display. It only makes sense that her favorite holiday was the 4th of July. To honor Danielle, she would love it if you would commit a random act of kindness, pay it forward, plant a tree or thank a veteran for his service. A ceremony including her urn display and celebration of life will be held on June 2nd, at 1 p.m. in Findlay, Il for friends and family.
