Daniel 'Ralph' Fields

Daniel Ralph Fields, 77, of Covington, passed away at 11:40am, Friday, March 24, 2023, at his home. He was born on January 17, 1946, in Danville, IL, the son of Ralph and Ruth {Ownby} Fields.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Nathan) Schaefer of Covington and his grandsons, Samuel Dimmitt and David Schaefer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ralph was a proud Veteran of the US Marine Corp. He enjoyed working as a carpenter. In his spare time, he enjoyed sports and was a big fan of Boston Red Sox, Chicago Bears, and Indiana University. He also enjoyed watching Nascar. He also volunteered at the VFW Post #2395. Ralph loved and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandsons, and loved hanging out with his many friends.

As were his wishes, Ralph will be accorded cremation rites and there are no services at this time. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. His family was assisted by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932.
