Daniel Phillips, Sr.

Daniel E. Phillips Sr., 67, of Danville passed away on August 24, 2021 at his home. He was born in Danville a son of William and Rosemary Phillips. They preceded him in death. Daniel was also preceded in death by his son Daniel Phillips Jr., grandson Joseph Phillips Jr., brother Tim Phillips, and his previous wife Sheila Leigh.

Daniel is survived by his daughter Jessica (Larry) Parson; son Joseph Phillips; grandchildren Shawn, Tyler, Daniel, Dustin, Daytona, Layla, Noah, and Wyatt; and a great-grandson Shawn Lewis III. Other survivors include his siblings Michele Richards, Debbie Vallangeon, Stacey Phillips, Kelly Phillips and Billy Phillips along with many nieces and nephews. Daniel loved spending time with his family and always looked forward to the next cook-out or gathering. He leaves behind many friends that will miss him dearly.

Daniel worked at Julies Shooting Star in Westville for many years.

Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Danville National Cemetery on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
