Daniel Paul 'Dan' Cheesman

Daniel Dan Paul Cheesman, 55, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:11am, Sunday, February 27, 2011, at his home. He was born on February 14, 1956, in Danville, the son of Luther and Maudia L (Neunum) Cheesman, both deceased. He was united in marriage to Debbie Simmonds on August 19, 1978, in Danville. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Honecker of Allerton & Christena Cheesman of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Austin Miller, Evan Miller, Meracle Honecker, & Danielle George; his brothers, Robert (Judy) Cheesman of Hawbuck, David (Melinda) Cheesman of Grape Creek, & Rick (Tammy) Cheesman of Houston, TX; and his sisters, Vivian Powell of Danville, Linda (Kenneth) OBanion of Armstrong, Nancy Martin of Westville, & Tonya (David) Miller of Westville. He was preceded in death by: his three brothers, Butch, Charlie Brown, and his sister, Phyllis. Dan was previously a technician at Mervis Industries. He attended The Rock Church in Danville. In his spare time, he enjoyed going camping, mushroom hunting, computers, and praising Christ. He also loved his pets. Above all, Dan loved and cherished his family and grandkids. A celebration of Dans life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration, at Georgetown, with Randy Downing & Rick Cheesman officiating. Visitation will be 4-7pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Whitlock Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in his name to The Rock Church in Danville.
