Daniel Dice

Bismarck Daniel L. Dice, 76, of Bismarck passed away at 9:12 AM on August 21, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Dan was born on January 20, 1947, the son of Howard and Vera (Weaver) Dice in Danville, IL. He married Linda Bromley on November 21, 1965, in Bismarck, IL, and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Dice of Bismarck, IL; his son, Dale (Barbara) Dice of Bismarck, IL; and his daughter, Danella (Kent) Reining of Bismarck, IL; nine grandchildren: Matthew (Elizabeth List) Reining, Zane (Emma) Reining, Tyson Reining, Layla Reining, Hunter Reining, Rheyse (Katie Erickson) Dice, Luke Dice, Lexi Dice, and Justin Johnson, as well as his great-grandchildren: Sylas, Nolan, Zeppelin, Faybian, and another on the way. He is also survived by his two siblings: Donald (Judy) Dice of Bismarck, IL, and Ronald (Mary Liz) Dice of Centennial, CO.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents and one sibling, Charlotte Quick.

Dan farmed in the Bismarck area for many years and also worked at McLane Midwest. He served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Second Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending his free time maintaining his yard, farming, washing his truck, listening to Elvis music, and watching action movies and the Discovery and History Channels. Most of all, Dan loved attending his grandchildrens events and spending time with his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Stephanie Spangler will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Dans memory to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Tunnels to Towers.
