It is with heavy spirits but hearts of love that we comprise this notice that at 12:12 in the afternoon of September 29th 2024 D’Andrea Kitchens(Torrez) left this worldly plane.
D’Andrea(63) was a whirlwind of life. She was born on November 1, 1960 to her father Victor Torrez(who survives) and mother Mary-Anne Torrez(who precedes her in death). A force to be reckoned with and a breath of magic, she was never one to turn down an adventure. She had an open heart and home to all those who she encountered. Her years were filled with raising her children and never turning away their friends. Loving her family fiercely, learning life alongside her husband, laughing and enjoying life on her own terms.
She leaves behind a wake of loved ones which includes her husband Jeff Kitchens, her children Briand Kitchens, Jordan Kitchens(Jeremy Rice), Fallon Kitchens(Justin Collins), Izaack Kitchens(Marissa Oxendine), and daughter of her heart Tyana Bridgewater(Eric Bridgewater). She blessed the lives of her grandchildren who all continue their turns around the sun Kale Kitchens, Braxton Rice, Dhaijun Kitchens, Easton Rice, Quinn Bridgewater, and Nora Jane Bridgewater.
She was a great friend who touched the lives of many throughout her years of involvement in the church, the school systems, and all her kids sporting adventures. She put blood, sweat, tears, and a whole lot of love into her community. The most important thing to her was her family. The love she had for her husband and children and grandchildren was always evident to anyone who saw them interact. It is a void the earth is left with, with her departure, but the love she gave and helped grow will remain.
“Sometimes an angel needs her wings.
Full of love her sweet voice sings.
You lifted us up when we were in need.
Wait for us now separate paths we heed.
We’re waiting now till we reunite.
Go now mother angel take your flight. “
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
