Dale W. Leigh

Danville- Dale W. Leigh, 46, of Danville passed away at 8:04 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. He was born on May 17, 1964 in Danville to Virginia Gordon Leigh and John W. (Louada) Leigh. They survive. Also surviving is daughter Kristen Leigh of Rantoul; 3 brothers Marty Leigh, Johnny Leigh, and Billy (Wendy) Leigh all of Danville; 2 sisters Sherry (Henry) Place of Montezuma, IN and Sheila (Brett) Arnette of Gibson City, IL; 2 half-brothers Bobby Cotton and Wesley Leigh both of Florida; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Dale loved NASCAR racing and barbecuing. He also enjoyed gardening and was known for his tomatoes. He will be sadly missed by his mother whom he cared for greatly. A service to celebrate the life of Dale Leigh will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Raymond Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow at Atherton Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will take place from 9-10 AM prior to the services at the funeral home on Friday.
