Dale Edward (Gums) Osborne, 74, of Olivet, passed away on January 23, 2025. He was born January 21, 1951 in Danville the son of Franklin and Wilma Stark Osborne. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Gerald & Richard (Dick); 2 sisters Wilma Lagrand and Judy Phillips; 2 brothers-in-law and several other family members.

 Survivors include 1 brother, Claude (Pauline) Osborne of Milton, Florida; 2 sisters Dixie (Aloysius) Thompson of Shelburn, Indiana and Faye Claudette (Wayne) Cauley of Janesville, Wisconsin; and multiple nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

 Dale was employed for 25 years for Mervis Industries and has been disabled for the last 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and especially spending time with family.

 A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10am – 12 pm at Sunset Funeral Home’s Houghton Leasure Chapel, located at 200 E. West Street in Georgetown, Illinois. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow at 12 pm. He will be laid to rest next to his family at Georgetown Cemetery following services that day.
