Dale Harold Foreman, 87, of Danville, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at VA Illiana Healthcare Center in Danville. Dale was born on May 11, 1919 in Bloomington, Il, the son of Louis and Lydia (Redicker) Foreman. He married Iva Martin Baker Foreman on June 26, 1976 in Danville at the First Church of God. She survives. He is also survived by on daughter- Cheri (Austin) Huff of Danville; two step-daughters- Judith (Herb) Miller of Colorado and Mary Faith Alvey of Seattle, Washington; two brothers- Floyd (June) Foreman of California and Wayne (Pansy) Foreman of Danville; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son- Richard Foreman, one brother- Lowell Foreman, and one grandson- Robert Huff. Dale owned and operated Foreman Glass Company in Danville, where he worked for 30 years until he retired in 1996. He was a member of New Life Christian Center in Danville. Dale loved to go fishing and camping. He enjoyed bowling. Dale sang with the Barber Shop Quartet in Danville. Dale enjoyed spending time working with his wife in their yard. He loved going and being involved in his church. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was very much a people person and loved being around people. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Illini fan. A celebration of the life of Dale Harold Foreman will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at New Life Christian Center in Danville, with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 at the church on Friday. Burial will be held at Danville National Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion Post #210. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the New Life Christian Center- Music Department.
