Dale Hansbrough

Dale Hansbrough, 74, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL. He was born on July 15, 1947, the son of Theresa (McClain) and Clyde Hansbrough in Danville, IL. They precede him death.

Also preceding Dale in death include his brother Woody Hansbrough and nephew, Scott Eric Hansbrough.

Dale leaves behind his siblings Clyda (Pat) OConnell of Cantrall, IL and George (Janine) Hansbrough of Decatur, IL; along with several nieces and nephews.

Dale enjoyed following Illinois teams such as the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Illini football and basketball. He was also a fan of WWE Wrestling. Dale was friendly and helpful and seemed to never meet a stranger. He could be found taking walks around Danville making new friends. In his younger years he loved to go fishing and was the best on roller skates.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Filicsky. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
